It's a ten band per channel unit with a spectrum display, hookups for two tape decks, dubbing buttons and a stereo expander with adjustable level (which you can make of what you will).īut.for the absolute coolest EQ that I have ever seen y the Technics SH-8046 (video link). The one I bought is still going and hasn't needed anything. Which works, but costs more CPU than I'd like.Īnything that's AC'97 or HD Audio based (and probably built into a motherboard) is totally software based anyway.įor an actual, physical graphical equalizer, I've been pretty happy with the two units I have from RadioShack.one I borrowed, the other I bought new. Everyone else (whose audio chips I'm familiar with) seems to have the expectation that you'll make the changes in your audio playback software. ![]() Click to expand.As best I know, the only sound cards to have hardware tone controls are the whole of the original Sound Blaster series and many but not all of the newer ones (EMU10K1 based boards, AudioPCI, etc).
